12.41: Cape Fear

For the Fourth of July, we decided to watch three takes on one film, part of which happens over July Fourth weekend. We watched the 1962 and 1991 versions of “Cape Fear” and s5 e2 of “The Simpsons”: “Cape Feare.”

Check out our views of the two films: Similarities, differences, scare factor, and cameos. Find out why Scorsese did a remake of this film at all and who was originally attached to direct. See who we think is the “better” bad guy. And discover how “The Simpsons” episode compares to the films!

Next week: It’s Kelly’s birthday, Kelly’s choice! Since she just moved back to Houston, she’s feeling all Texas-y. So, we’re watching as many episodes as we can of “Friday Night Lights.”
