12.40 What’s on The Menu?

Even though this delicious film came out seven months ago, somehow Kelly did not get spoiled on the actual meat of “The Menu.” And, don’t worry, we won’t spoil you here. But we do spoil you in this episode!

Anya Taylor-Joy is delightful as pretentious foodie Nicholas Hoult’s “dinner date.” Ralph Fiennes shines as Chef Slowik as he prepares his best dish ever. Not the one you expect.

Judith Light and Reed Birney are totally wrong about the fish. John Leguizamo as the movie should have made a better movie. And Hong Chau is superb as Elsa.

We’re down for the milk snow. Maybe not for the algae. And definitely not for the s’mores. Weird, right? (Unless you know what we’re talking about!)

Next week: We’re celebrating July 4th with “Cape Fear” (1991 on Tubi).
