Ten Z Commandments

based on TEN DUEL COMMANDMENTS from HAMILTON  by Lin-Manuel Miranda

By Susan Monk & assistant co-writer Pat Sponaugle

One, two, three, four

Five, six, seven, eight, nine…

It’s the Ten Z Commandments

It’s the Ten Z Commandments

Number one!

The challenge: live and don’t get bitten

Set up a safe encampment with a few trusted friends

Number two!

Grab a friend, trust your buddy

You’ll need a lieutenant when things gonna get bloody

Number three!

Fighting walkers: stand with your second back to back

Stab some walkers in the head…

You’ve got to go on the attack

This is good advice, ‘specially for new groups

Z’s silently die & no one shoots

Number four!

If someone gets bit, that’s alright

Time to amputate the limb, get the doctor on site

You tourniquet up high, treat the doc with civility

You have a fire burnin’ n cauterize with rapidity

Five!

If you can’t amputate, say goodbye

Pick a place to die where it’s high and dry

Number six!

Leave a note for your next of kin

Tell ‘em where you been. Pray that hell or heaven lets you in

Seven!

Fence your home in

Ready for the moment of defense from opponents both undead and human

Number eight!

Their last chance to negotiate

Send in your leaders, see if they can trade for something great

Hello, anyone there?

Oh hello, sir

We’ve agreed that all new residents should be vetted?

Sure

But your man has to let the doc see all his wounds

That blood? We both know that’s not his, sir

Hang on, how many men might die when your man later turns & kills us?

Okay, so we’re doin’ this

Number nine!

Look Z’s in the eye, aim no higher

Summon all the courage you require

Then count

One two three four

Five six seven eight nine

Number

Ten zombies!

Fire!
