It’s May of Thrones, Part 1! Yeah, we could talk Thrones all month long. But we’re doing it in two parts. In this first episode, we discuss highlights from what got us hooked on the series (hint: “The things I do….”), s1 e9 “Baelor,” Arya’s journey, expectations of book readers, HBO Max’s excellent listing of “the best of” by character (sorry, Bran!), s7 e1 “The Spoils of War,” some of our favorite quotes, and some other random favorite moments from the entire series.

This week at Geek Girl Soup, we’re back to the Seven Deadly Sins with Lust. We watched “Lust Stories” and “The Principles of Pleasure,” both on Netflix and both centered on women… which led to an entire discussion on the current anti-woman movement happening in this country. Yes, that’s exactly what it is, an anti-woman movement.

This week at Geek Girl Soup, we’re back to our monthly One-and-Done series with Fox’s 1996 drama “Profit.” Raised in a Gracen & Gracen cardboard box (yes, you read that right), Jim Profit gets a job at G&G after a senior vice president has a “heart attack” and dies. Profit wants to run the whole company and will do anything he can to assume power, including framing his boss for murder.
