13.03: Breaking Bad Finale 10th Anniversary

Can you believe it’s been 10 years since “Breaking Bad” (Netflix) ended? September 29, 2013, to be precise. And it was 15 years ago this year that the pilot aired: January 20, 2008. So, going on 16 years, actually.

For this anniversary episode, we watched “Pilot” and “Felina.” Susan watched all of part 2 of season 5. And Cort watched a series recap on YouTube.

Highlights:

  • The “mama” fire station scene (“Ozymandias”)

  • The Skyler kitchen scene (“Felina”)

  • The Gretchen and Elliott scene (“Felina”)

  • The big Jane and Walt scene (“Phoenix”)

  • The final Neo-Nazi/Jesse and Walt scene (“Felina”)

We also talk a bit about the ending of “Better Call Saul.” We take a tangent into AI.

And we ponder what the “mama” baby Holly actor is doing now. We finally looked it up. Elanor Anne Wenrich has a blank page on IMDb, not even listing her BrBa credit. We dug around more online and didn’t find anything on IG or FB either (except for an Emmy nomination page on FB). Just like Walt in s5, this girl is living off the grid!

Next week: “The Fall of the House of Usher” (Netflix)!
