12.47: Fly the (Not-So) Friendly Skies with Idris!

When you hear the sound of the bell, what does that signify to you? Seat belts can be removed? It’s dinnertime? Or Tio Hector urgently needs to tell you something.

In this episode of Geek Girl Soup, we’re covering seat belts and Tio Hector, that is Idris Elba in “Hijack” and the passing of beloved Mark Margolis. (You can figure out dinner on your own!)

There have been too many deaths in the entertainment industry recently (we’ll talk about William Friedkin next week). We discuss Sinead O’Connor, Paul Reubens, Angus Cloud, and Margolis.

Then we swoon all over Idris in “Hijack” on Apple TV+. We get totally spoilerific for that part (second half). So, you can listen to the first half about everyone who just died and skip Idris if you haven’t watched “Hijack” yet. (What are you waiting for?!

Next week: Cort will be in Houston! We’re watching “Joy Ride,” “Bridesmaids,” and “Girls Trip.”
