12.33: Silo Episodes 1 to 3

Apple TV+ is quickly becoming our favorite streaming service… especially as original favorite HBO Max transitions into Max. (Sigh.) Today Cort and Kelly are chatting about the excellent new series “Silo,” based on the books by Hugh Howey.

“Silo” features David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones, Rebecca Ferguson, Common, Tim Robbins, and Will Patton. The basic story is that we’re in dystopian future where outside is uninhabitable. So, this group lives in a large underground silo built who-knows-when by who-knows-whom. There are strict rules in the silo and harsh punishments for breaking the rules.

The show effectively builds the world for us so that we quickly feel the hope, tension, fear, etc. that the characters experience. And we’re just three episodes in!

We’re releasing this episode on the day that episode 4 of the series comes out. So, catch up, then listen to this spoilerific episode! We’ll be doing a few more episodes to keep up with the series!
