“The world is rotten, and those who are making it rot deserve to die.” So states Light Yagami in episode 1 of the Japanese anime “Death Note” after getting acquainted with the notebook of the same name.
What would you do if you happened upon a notebook that would kill anyone whose name you wrote in it? Would you rid the world of evil, as Light claims to be doing? Would you try to destroy the book? Give it back to Ryuk, the Shinigami death god? Lock it away so that no one else could use it for evil?
