Idris is back, baby! Yes, we’d love more of Luther than just a two-hour and 9-minute movie. But this totally worked!
“Luther: The Fallen Sun” brings back Idris Elba as our favorite bad-boy DCI John Luther. We also get the exquisite Cynthia Erivo as DCI Odette Raine and the most excellent Andy Serkis as literal bad guy David Robey.
As the IMDb synopsis indicates (so, not a spoiler!), Luther gets sent to prison, breaks out a prison, then goes on a hunt to find a “sadistic serial killer who is terrorizing London.”
Does Luther catch his man? Does he butt heads with DCI Raine? Who else gets caught in the crossfire?
